Health Website Ratings (HWR) project: Evaluation Workbook
Health Improvement Institute has developed an evaluation workbook to permit QHII participants to provide feedback on criteria for rating health websites. The Institute compiled these criteria in Phase-1 of the Health Website Ratings (HWR) project.
The evaluation workbook:
- Describes the Institute's conceptual approach to the problem of evaluating the quality of health websites
- Delineates types of health websites for project purposes
- Lists criteria compiled from various sources for evaluating the quality of health websites
- Requests feedback on
- Criteria for purposes of developing a practical rating tool for use by health professionals to rate the quality of health websites
- Criteria for criteria to be used for the above purpose
- Aspects of rating the quality of health websites
- Types of health websites
- Problems faced by consumers regarding the accessibility, relevace, and validity of health informaton on the Internet.
