Health Website Ratings (HWR) project: Phase-IV plan
The purpose of Phase-IV of the health website ratings (HWR) project is to rate second (and, resources permitting) subsequent waves of health websites and to re-rate periodically previously-rated health websites to update ratings.
In Phase-IV, in collaboration with Consumer Reports WebWatch (CRW), Health Improvement Institute (HII) will:
- Finalize/test revised health website rating worksheets, based on the results of previous waves of ratings and raters' feedback
- Selected the second (and subsequent) wave of websites to be rated
- Select and assigned Institute-credentialed raters to panels
- (Re)Rate the second (and subsequent) wave of health websites
- Display/publish resultant ratings
- Publicized ratings to educate consumers about the project and to encourage feedback on their utility
- Reviewed/revised methodology in light of needs, experience, and raters' feedback (preparatory to undertaking subsequent waves of ratings).
