Award for Excellence in Human Research Protection
Judging Award applications
Health Improvement Institute has established the following process
to judge applications for an Award:
- The Institute issues a call for applications
for an Award.
- For each Award category, participants who are interested in applying for an Award complete a structured application form.
- The Institute selects a panel of judges from among credentialed participants to judge Award applications. If the volume of applications for an Award category warrants, the Institute forms multiple panels to judge them.
- Judges complete a structured evaluation form, that includes a declaration of interest, and determine the appropriate level of Award.
- If warranted by the volume of applications for a particular Award category, the Institute forms a final panel of judges (who may have participated on one of the initial panels) to evaluate applications of finalists for the year's Annual Award.
- Based on judges' evaluations, the Institute selects the winner of the Annual Award and recipients of the Award of Excellence. The Institute's selection of winners of the Annual Award and of Award of Excellence is final.
