Each year, the Institute invites applications to become:
- Member of Judges Credentialing Committee (JCC), which evaluates the qualifications and experience of applicants to judge entries in the Award competition. Members of the Award Steering Committee evaluate the qualifications and experience of applicants to be a member of the JCC and to judge Award applications. The Institute selects members of the JCC based on their evaluations and to ensure as diverse representation of geography and role in the research enterprise as possible.
- Judge for the Award competition. Members of the JCC evaluate the qualifications and experiences of applicants to judge Award applications against credentialing criteria. The Institute credentials judges based on their evaluations.
