Health Improvement Institute has established the following 4 levels of recognition for entries in the Award competition:

• Annual Award (receives certificate and plaque) - one for each Award category
• Award of Excellence (receives certificate; may purchase plaque)
• Certificate of merit
• Certificate of appreciation.
  

Panels of judges determine the applicable level of recognition for each entry. Applications that receive the Award of Excellence and the Annual Award may display the Award logo on their website, in appropriate print materials, etc, to proclaim their Award so that the public may recognize their distinction.
