Aesculapius Awards www site judging criteria
WWW sites will be judged on the following criteria:
Objective/Planning
- Does the WWW site have a clear, specific, and measurable educational objective?
- Is the audience well defined?
Content and Credibility
- How clear, easy-to-understand, accurate and useful is the WWW site?
- Does the site follow applicable codes or principles (eg, HIIQA standards, HON code) pertaining to disclosures (e.g., of authorship, funding), descriptions (e.g., of the organization), and disclaimers (e.g., regarding use of information)?
- What is the timeliness of the information conveyed on the site? Does it state when the information was last updated?
- Does the WWW site provide adequate and appropriate links to other related sites or references to other resources?
Interactivity/User-friendliness
- What browsers does the site support?
- How easy is it to navigate through the WWW site?
- How does it engage web users; does it provide any on-line forums, or forms for comments, questions, etc?
Visual design/innovation
Creativity:
- How creative is the WWW site in combing visual designs, photos, illustrations, and texts effectively?
- How successfully does the WWW site create a strong, unique, and consistent "personality"?
Aesthetics/Readability:
- How well can you read the text? Do background colors, patterns, designs, etc. enhance the text?
- How interesting and engaging is the site?
Evaluation
- How well does the WWW site meet its objectives? Is there a visitor count?
- Is it effective in educating, persuading or moving the target audience to action?
- How does the site use feedback?
